LAKE EFFECT: Not a normal occurrence in August! Lake-effect showers and a few thunderstorms are expected to develop. Cool winds moving over warm lake waters give a perfect recipe for the development of lake enhanced precipitation in the form of rain and storms. There is a heightened risk of waterspouts over Lake Erie, which owns a global record for most waterspouts observed. – 7:00 AM 8/25/25
OUT THE DOOR: Heading out the door today? You may need a light jacket this morning if the 50sare too cool for you! Otherwise, some showers are possible north of I-70 today as lake-enhanced moisture moves through. Take the ONW app with you to stay ahead of the weather! – 5:00 AM 8/25/25
