About Us
Ohio News and Weather™ (ONW) is a trademarked brand of the Belpark Weather Network, a IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides the latest weather information, forecasts, emergency information and education to our audience of nearly 300,000 followers across Ohio and portions of Indiana and West Virginia.
In addition to providing weather information through our social media pages, app, and website, we also provide live severe weather coverage as needed to keep viewers informed during periods of severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, significant winter weather and more. We help keep viewers informed of rapidly changing weather conditions no matter where you are in our coverage area.

Our History and Partnershps
History
April 2011 – Ohio News & Weather Facebook page is launched. The page focuses on covering Central Ohio.
June 2013 – Mid-Ohio Valley Weather Update (MOVWU) Facebook page is founded. The page focuses on the Marietta, OH/Parkersburg, WV area and later expands to include much of Southeastern Ohio and portions of Western West Virginia.
2015 – Ohio News & Weather expands to cover all of Ohio as well as several counties in Eastern Indiana.
August 2016: Belpark Media LLC was founded.
Between 2015 and 2022, Ohio News & Weather partners with other area social media pages to increase their coverage and outreach. A few of the pages merge into Ohio News & Weather.
January 2022: Belpark Media became a IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to better focus on our mission and organizational goals.
2023 – The Ohio News & Weather app is launched on Apple and Android.

Our Goals
- To be a trusted source of weather information.
- To continually improve our products, including:
- A responsive website.
- Easy to read and understand weather graphics.
- Maintain a live weather stream on our social platforms and website.
- Create more video content for our viewers.
- Invest in the latest technology to be able to provide the best weather data to our followers.
- Procure weather stations and deploy them in key locations with the intent of developing our own Mesonet.
- Invest in other technologies to fill in various gaps in weather coverage.
- To provide weather education to our audience to help them prepare for any adverse weather before it happens.
