Looking Ahead: Monday Into Tuesday

We are monitoring the potential of a storm system to develop across the southern US, and perhaps track towards the area and bring a threat of snow Monday Night through Tuesday.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

1. Northern Track – This would bring perhaps a few inches of snow to much of the area. Exact amounts are unclear depending on the track. However, travel Tuesday could be impacted IF this track were to verify.

2. Southern Track – This would bring little (if any) snow depending if the low stays too far south or east. The threat of accumulating snow would be east of the area. Cloud cover could increase, but that would be about the extent of it.

3. COLD BLAST – Another shot of cold air arrives Wednesday regardless, with highs for some struggling to get above freezing, and overnight lows in the teens and 20’s. Lake Effect Snow could also occur after this system moves away.

Stay tuned for more updates later this weekend! Should confidence increase, we would issue a snowfall map sometime late Saturday or Early Sunday!
